Too Faced Chocolate Soleil and Candlelight Duo

I know summer is ending entirely too fast but I thought for my first product review, I would review Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder and Candlelight Softly Illuminating Translucent Powder duo. I received this for a gift for my birthday (Thanks Mary!) and I've been in love with it ever since.

First of all, even though I'm Latina, I'm pretty white. Actually, vampire white. So white that in the winter, I wear the same exact shade of MAC powder they use on the vampires in Twilight. Nevertheless, in summer, I TRY to look a little tanner, without fake baking (I'm a recovering fake baker). I have four bronzers, but this is by far my favorite. Why?...

First of all, the smell is A-MAZ-ING. It's made with real cocoa powder, so it smells like chocolate milk. In fact, it smelled so good that I decided to taste it. It tastes exactly like sweet cocoa powder. Not only is the smell amazing, but the powder is so pigmented - which can be scary for some, but if you apply it lightly and with a fluffy brush, it's not a big deal. I actually like to use this to contour right under my cheek bones, and it automatically makes me look glowy and as if I went to the beach. It's the perfect shade for me, and isn't too dramatic. Not only that, but it doesn't have any shimmer or glitter in it (hence MATTE), so it gives more of a natural tan look than a sparkly tan look.

I'm not really big on shimmer on my face, but the highlighting powder that comes with it is beautiful, especially on your cheek bones and right under your brows for a nice shimmery highlight. It's actually a nice creamy color, instead of bright white, which really complements a natural-tan look.

The packaging is also super cute. It comes with a BIG mirror that says "Why be pretty when you can be gorgeous?" :) I'd buy this for the bronzing powder alone! I'd much rather use this than any orangey-based sparkley bronzer. With just the right amount, it makes you look like the sun-kissed goddess you always wanted to be. :)
